August 1 - October 15, 2013 "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." -  Nelson Mandela Dear Asha Patrons    The 'Right to Education' Act is here.  Yet, there are an estimated 50 million child laborers in India, based on a statement from a child rights protection group in August 2013. These children toil everywhere from stone quarries and carpet factories to rice mills. In addition, children are bought and sold into bonded slavery for the sex trade or to work as domestic servants. You liked our Facebook page.  You helped us increase our fans from 1,200 last year to 12,000+ this year.  Deep down in your hearts you believe in our cause and efforts, and know that a change is possible if each of us did something about illiteracy in India. Today, our campaign has less than 300 donors. The team at 'Work an Hour' is looking to add 100 donors by the end of this week, to be able to call this campaign a success, as with our previous campaigns.    We really need your help NOW to give our children hope for a better future.
