Chennaiah Poguri is the founder and former General Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Vyavasaya Viritidarulu Union (APVUU) - a federation of agricultural labourers unions in Andra Pradesh. He currently serves as a secretary for national coordination for APVVU. He also serves on various national level organizations like National Alliance of People’s Movement (NAPM) and National Center for Labour. He is a very motivational speaker to listen to and brings a grass root level perspective on various issues relating to socio-economic and political rights of the underpriveliged, problems faced by the agricultural sector in the country in the face of globalization etc. In his talk Mr.Chennaiah will be touching upon various grass root level issues in rural India primarily focusing on utilizing National Rural Employment Garuntee Act (NREGA) to create economic sustainability in rural communities.
