Male Philosophy

When a
man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let
him keep her.

David
Bissonette

After
marriage, husband and wife become two sides of a coin; they
just can't face each other, but still they stay
together.

Sacha Guitry

By all
means marry. If you get a good wife, you'll be happy. If you
get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Socrates

Woman
inspires us to great things, and prevents us from achieving
them.

The great
question... which I have not been able to answer... is, "What
does a woman want?"

I had
some words with my wife, and she had some paragraphs with
me.

'Some
people ask the secret of our long marriage. We take time to go
to a restaurant two times a week. A little candlelight,
dinner, soft music and dancing. She goes Tuesdays, I go
Fridays.'

'There's
a way of transferring funds that is even faster than
electronic banking. It's called
marriage.'

'I've had
bad luck with both my wives.

The first one left me, and the second one didn't.'

Two
secrets to keep your marriage brimming
1. Whenever you're
wrong, admit it,
2. Whenever you're right, shut
up.

The most
effective way to remember your wife's birthday is to forget it
once....

Nash

You know
what I did before I married?

Anything I
wanted to.

My wife
and I were happy for twenty years.

Then we met.

A good
wife always forgives her husband when she's
wrong.

A man
inserted an 'ad' in the classifieds: 'Wife wanted'. Next day
he received a hundred letters.\

They all said the same thing: 'You can have mine.'

First Guy
(proudly): 'My wife's an angel!'
Second Guy: 'You're
lucky, mine's still alive.'

Does god Exist .. or is it just a superstition?

Its a superstition.
Feeble constructs of a weak mind which cannot come to terms with reality. god is more like an excuse for everyone who believes in him....the so called god believers use the idea to explain everything which doesn't have an explanation...good or bad....everything bad in life is supposed to be a test from god....everything wrong happening in this world is gods will...every failure is "god has a better plan for me"....basically i think they don't have the guts to do the job themselves and hence leave it to something imaginary...yes i said it god is imaginary! if he was real why not one of the 6 billion humans in this world have (assuming the animals cant tell us even if they did see god)not seen him.

James said...

Man has the mind, body and the spirit. The body is a temporary abode, like a cup of chai where The spirit is the chai and the cup is the body. The mind is what we think with and the mind directs the body/spirit. The mind is the ATC Tower.
God is spirit!! We cant see him because we are in the body and we live in the physical realm.
We pass from the physical to the spiritual realm when we die and thats when you will see God!!

Goan with the Wind

In the early 1990s, Air India printed a calendar showcasing people from different states in their traditional costumes. The Goa portrait had a couple at a church wedding in bridal finery: the lady in a flowing gown, her partner in a jacket and tie. The publication sparked off protests within the Goan community, who accused the national carrier of portraying a flawed image of the state.

Enough is Enough!

Senseless acts of Terror : hurt but not destroyed

A string of eight powerful explosions tore through first class compartments of down suburban trains at seven places within 11 minutes, between 6:24 pm and 6:35 pm, clogging the City’s lifeline with blood and gore. At least 150 people were killed and about 439 injured as terror stalked Mumbai’s crowded suburban trains on the Western line in the peak evening hours of Tuesday.

Packed to the brim and ferrying lakhs of commuters from the business district of South Mumbai to the suburbs in the northerly direction, the compartments were ripped apart, mangled bodies of passengers hurled out and bleeding survivors jumped off speeding trains for survival amidst cries for help and chaos.

Update :: Wednesday: Mumbai is back to wheels!!!

Life went back to normal elsewhere in Mumbai. Western Railway resumed its suburban services at night although trains were not running to capacity.

These children are on their way to school and happy about it. Says the little fellow, second from left, "Uncle, aap atankwadi ka photo nikalo. Hum sab maarenge usse (Uncle, take a picture of the terrorist and we all will kill him)."

Kudos to the spirit of Mumbai - the Never say Die attitude...
Dear Terrorist,

Even if you are not reading this we don't care. Time and again you tried to disturb us and disrupt our life -- killing innocent civilians by planting bombs in trains, buses and cars. You have tried hard to bring death and destruction, cause panic and fear and create communal disharmony but every time you were disgustingly unsuccessful. Do you know how we pass our life in Mumbai? How much it takes for us to earn that single rupee? If you wanted to give us a shock then we are sorry to say that you failed miserably in your ulterior motives. Better look elsewhere, not here.

We are not Hindus and Muslims or Gujaratis and Marathis or Punjabis and Bengalis. Nor do we distinguish ourselves as owners or workers, government employees or private employees. WE ARE MUMBAIKERS (Bombay-ites, if you like). We will not allow you to disrupt our life like this. On the last few occasions when you struck (including the 11 deadly blasts in a single day killing over 250 people and injuring 500 plus in 1993), we went to work the next day in full strength. This time too we cleared everything within a few hours and were back to normal - the vendors serving their next order, businessmen finalizing the next deals and the office workers rushing to catch the next train. Yes, the same train you targeted.

Fathom this: Within three hours of the blasts, long queues of blood-donating volunteers were seen outside various hospitals, where most of the injured were admitted. By midnight, the hospital had to issue a notification that blood banks were full and they didn't require any more blood. The next day, attendance at schools and offices is close to 100%, trains & buses are packed to the brim, the crowds are back. The city has simply dusted itself off and moved on - perhaps with greater vigor.

We are Mumbaikars and we live like brothers in times like this. So, do not dare to threaten us with your crackers. The spirit of Mumbai is very strong and can not be harmed. (Please forward this to others. U never know, by chance it may come to hands of a terrorist in Afghanistan, Pakistan or Iraq and he can then read this message which is especially meant for him!!!)

With Love,
From the people of Mumbai
